Magi Gordon

Doing hair has been my passion for the majority of my life, you could find me in the garage cutting or coloring my friends’ hair after school since I was 14 years old. After graduating my cosmetology program, I was an educator for high end product lines, and really loved getting to teach stylists how to properly use products and how to pass that information on to their clients. When my two kids were younger, I took a step back from the education side of hair and focused on growing my career as a stylist.

Since becoming the Manager of Style Bar Salon, I wanted to find a way back to those education roots and created an apprentice program so that I can work one-on-one with new stylists; it is so rewarding to watch them grow and succeed in their own careers. I am passionate about passing along the knowledge and techniques that have been passed to me from my mentors and from my own on going education. I continue to grow my toolkit of skills with extension methods, haircutting courses, smoothing treatments as well as advanced balayage and color classes.

In my 15+ years in this industry, I have seen clients fall in love, get married, have children, suffer losses, and reach new milestones in their professional and personal lives. Hair is so much more than just hair, my goal is to have my clients walk out of the salon feeling more confident than they walked in.
